patti’s peanut butter cookies

Social media reminded me of my 16-year "friendaversary" with Patti's husband. We met at work and became fast friends. They were expecting their first child, the eldest of my four amazing fairy goddaughters. Patti has a true gift for baking and has some, well, "unconventional" methods for sourcing recipes, which is her story to tell. I was late getting started on my holiday baking, and I know I need to dig into my family's traditional recipes, but this was top of mind. Coming from small families, my parents always stressed the importance of the family you choose. So on behalf of my son to his Aunt Patti, thank you for sharing this recipe.
